When he was captured they did experiments on him to understand his powers, which caused him to hate the human race, so he wants to wipe all of us out and restart the world with Nomalinians running it. Evil right! I know! And about your hypothesis on Forest's name, it's not Forest because she ran out of a forest, it's her middle name. She got hit by a large branch when she was running away, and forgot most of her past and her name, but remembered that her middle name was Forest.
